Sunday morning children’s ministry in the village was launched in 2016. The team began this process by identifying four village churches that they would visit at least four times. Once they visited the villages the next step was to identify one or two people within these villages who wished to take on a leadership role and teach the children on a regular basis. These people are called children’s monitors. During each visit the team would demonstrate a lesson. This lesson included singing, telling a story, acting out stories and playing games. In addition to these visits, monitors were invited to town for a two-day training. Now in 2017 there is an increasing number of churches with active children’s ministry occurring weekly. Our goal is one day soon have a children’s ministry in each of the 70 churches.
