By joining forces with our local church movement, STREAMS in Burkina Faso is going from church to church to increase the awareness and importance of effective children’s ministry within churches. Many village churches have already started a children’s ministry program, thus, they just need to be better trained and equipped. In additional to this village ministry, STREAMS hosts a weekly kids’ club for the children of their neighborhood in the city that includes games, activities, praise songs, a Bible lesson and application, and memory verse exercises for over fifty children.
With a vision of seeing the local church transform their communities from darkness to light, STREAMS in Burkina Faso believes that one way to achieve this vision is by teaching and investing in children. That’s why they want to see an active children’s ministry launched in the village churches. The team is currently identifying and training monitors – local Christian men and women from the village who can serve in the role as a children’s minister and help raise up the next generation for Christ through Biblical teaching.
